For millions of people across the UK, supporting an older parent means trying to balance their needs with work, family and everything else life brings.

Our Mission

We make it easier for families to support an older parent well, while helping that parent stay independent for longer. That means more confidence for families, and more freedom for parents to keep living on their own terms.

About the founder

I’m Richard Phillips. I grew up in South Africa, studied engineering, and moved to the UK in 2003. Since then, I’ve spent my career building and improving services across the private, public and third sectors.

At ParentCalls, I’m applying that experience to a problem I’ve seen first-hand: helping older parents stay independent for longer, while reducing the strain on their families.

For partners

If you support older adults or their families, ParentCalls may help strengthen the support available between family contact and in-person support.

This may be relevant if your clients, members or families need:

  • more support between care visits
  • reassuring updates for busy families
  • remote coordination and family support

We are currently exploring pilot partnerships with organisations that think this could complement and strengthen what they already provide
